Information icon Hello, I'm Thedarkknightli. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jet Li, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Misplaced Pages has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please remember that Misplaced Pages isn't a reliable source, see WP:CIRCULAR. Thank you. Thedarkknightli (talk) 16:30, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

Thank you so much for letting me know. Sorry for bothering you. I've commented on your talk page for more details. Thanks.--みしまるもも (talk) 01:36, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

Yukio Mishima

Hi, long time no see! Hope you're having a good day. I'm here to ask about the Yukio Mishima article, you've said last month you planned upon an English version for the 三島事件 which you've brought up to GA quality on Japanese Misplaced Pages, and I wish to know whether or not you still desire to do so? If so, I'll do my very best to help you out with said venture. Zinderboff(talk) 04:23, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi Zinderboff. Thank you very much. I am currently translating the "三島事件" on my PC notebook, translating the "1967" part of the section "The JSDF and Mishima," which summarizes the events that occurred in the four years leading up to the incident.
I am thinking of making the English version shorter than the Japanese version, up to the section "The JSDF and Mishima," so I think I will have the whole article draft ready by early October.
I have copied the translation up to the point where I have completed it (up to "After the incident") to the sandbox. (User:みしまるもも/sandbox) There are probably quite a few sentences that are difficult to understand in English, so please check them. At the end of the sentence for the three defendants, the judge quoted words from 王陽明 Wang Yangming's "伝習録," and I had a hard time translating that part. I need to check the literature that Japanese translation of the original meaning of Wang Yangming's words, otherwise the English translation is still a little unclear. みしまるもも (talk) 06:31, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi! Sorry for not doing too much work on the draft yet. I'm currently a little bit busy, but will help all the way when I get time soon! Zinderboff(talk) 16:06, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your kindness. Of course, it's perfectly fine for you to check it when you have time. It's OK. I'm also translating the next draft little by little, so it will take quite a while before I can paste all the drafts into the sandbox. みしまるもも (talk) 00:17, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi みしまるもも, regarding the same article and CyberIdris's contributions, please use WP:ANI instead of WP:AIV for such detailed reports that may require discussion. Thanks! ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:53, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

"we will ask you to block us"

Hi みしまるもも, is "we will ask you to block us" in Special:Diff/1256046480 the result of a machine translation or AI? On Misplaced Pages, being blocked is something undesirable; being blocked means losing the technical ability to edit pages. Only administrators can block users from editing pages. This is why "we will ask you to block us" makes no sense: The other user can't block you from editing, and it isn't something you'd want to happen if it was possible. Also, you seem to refer to yourself in plural ("us"), which sounds as if multiple people use your account. Hence I wonder which machine or misunderstanding has created this strange statement. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:25, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

Ah, sorry. I guess I posted the machine translation without really checking it. Thanks for letting me know. みしまるもも (talk) 23:41, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
No problem! Thanks for the clarification. If I understand correctly, your English is good enough for editing and discussing Misplaced Pages, and you use translation only because it is more convenient for you to write in Japanese and the translator might find words that you didn't know yet. That's perfectly fine. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:52, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind words. English is still difficult for me because it is a completely different language from Japanese. みしまるもも (talk) 00:01, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

Sock investigation

Hi みしまるもも, hope all's well! I have asked others whether or not your report was correctly filed. I just wanted to say you can add the fact that they've been warned against edit-warring and editing while logged out. They've deleted the first message and explicatly denied editing logged out. Zinderboff(talk) 01:49, 9 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi みしまるもも! Just wanted you to know that the investigation has been moved to Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/CyberIdris. Cheers! Zinderboff(talk) 02:17, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
I've also been told that in case you want to file future sock reports, use the form in the box on WP:SPI in the future. Zinderboff(talk) 02:19, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
Your kindness is greatly appreciated. Thank you. みしまるもも (talk) 02:34, 9 November 2024 (UTC)

Final warning: Focus on content on article talk pages

Hi みしまるもも, if I see one single further personal attack at Talk:Yukio Mishima from you, I'll place an indefinite block. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:42, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

No matter how many times I explained that Mishima did not advocate "direct rule by the Emperor," CyberIdris was not convinced, so I simply told him to participate with a minimum level of knowledge, rather than relying on information from a site that does not provide any specifics. I am not personally attacking CyberIdris.
On the contrary, I think it is unfair that you have not done anything about the fact that CyberIdris has labeled me as a "nationalist" in various places and personally attacked me by saying that I am trying to conceal information. Why? みしまるもも (talk) 23:34, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Hello! I hope it's ok to comment quickly, since we've both worked on the same article recently. I can see that you both feel strongly about your positions, which is commendable. You both felt passionately that you were correct (I'm not experienced enough to comment on that) but it meant that you were sharper with each other than you perhaps should have been?
You've both been blocked from a single article for a few days because of this, which is enough time to cool down and regain focus, as well as working on other articles perhaps. There's a good principle, called dropping the stick, that I'm sure you've come across. Please take it to heart so we can work together again in future! Blue-Sonnet (talk) 23:44, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Dear Blue-Sonnet. Thank you very much for your kind words and your message, Blue-Sonnet. I am very grateful for your editing. As you say, I may have been a little too absorbed in my edits. I put preparing meals for my family and shopping on the back burner, so I should be grateful to the administrator for giving me time off.
Blue-Sonnet, you are from the UK. I have traveled to the US (California and New York), but I have never been to the UK, but it seems to me that there are some similarities between the UK and Japan. There was also Miura Anjin. I feel like my heart has been loosened a little by Blue-Sonnet's advice. Thank you very much. I look forward to your continued support. みしまるもも (talk) 00:20, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
I'm so happy to hear you're feeling happier now! I could tell you were upset & wanted to try to reach out, even if it didn't work.
I would dearly love to visit Japan one day, as you've said we do have a lot of similarities in our cultures! Both have roots in politeness & respect for others, as well as remembering our history with plenty of historical sites and monuments.
I've been to Florida in the 1990's but I haven't been abroad since, I'm saving up for either Italy or Japan, both countries have such a rich historical heritage!
Please do take some time off for yourself - the internet is a difficult place, so I think everyone should have a break from it every so often ❤️ Blue-Sonnet (talk) 01:54, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
