The WikiWorld cartoon series is no longer in production, with the last cartoon dating from June 2008.

Welcome to WikiProject WikiWorld, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving visibility of the "WikiWorld" cartoon series on Misplaced Pages.

(For more information on WikiProjects, please see Misplaced Pages:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects).

Goals

Greg Williams is a designer and illustrator for The Tampa Tribune in Tampa, Florida. In cooperation with the Wikimedia Foundation, he is producing comic strips based on various articles and releasing them under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 2.5 License for use on Misplaced Pages. This WikiProject is intended to coordinate the process of organising the comics.

Scope

The WikiWorld comic summarizes and highlights some of the fascinating but little-known articles in Misplaced Pages's vast archives. This ongoing series of comics will present visual interpretations on a wide range of topics: obscure concepts and offbeat moments in history and culture, unexpected personality profiles and unlikely slices of everyday life - as well as "mainstream" subjects with humorous potential.

  6. Lar (talk · contribs) Drawn in to the project by the extra work caused by some potentially not well thought out actions of other participants, may stick around, we'll see.

Perhaps discussion should occur on whether this is duplicate effort (maintaining the gallery and also having a category on Commons)?
