William Matthew (born 26 December 1993 in Stirling, Perth, Australia) is an Australian equestrian athlete. He competed in several international dressage competitions and is assistant rider to Olympic and World Champion Isabell Werth in Germany. In 2022 he received the prestigious German Goldenes Reitabzeichen, which is a valuation for his outstanding results at competitions in Germany.

Matthew represented the Australian team at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France where they finished 10th in the team competition. In the Grand Prix he rode to a personal best of 69.953% with his horse Mysterious Star.
