Witches is a supplement for fantasy role-playing games published by Mayfair Games in 1990.

Contents

Witches is a supplement which contains rules for a witch character class, and presents backgrounds and guidelines for nine playable subclasses: the classic archetypal witches of ancient times, faerie witches, the dianic witch from the medieval era, the Golden Dawn (19th century), Wiccan (modern era), voodoo, animistic, elemental, and the Deryni witches from Katherine Kurtz novels.

Publication history

Witches was written by Nigel D. Findley, with a cover by Joe de Velasco, and illustrations by Roger Raupp, and was published by Mayfair Games in 1990 as a 96-page book.

Reception

Stewart Wieck reviewed Witches in White Wolf #23 (Oct./Nov., 1990), rating it a 4 out of 5 and stated that "Unfortunately, the product seems to have been rushed through production. There are numerous typographical errors in the book (and even on the back cover), but these are minor problems that to not lessen the quality of the material. Almost any fantasy campaign that involves different kinds of magic could gain something from this supplement."
