Yoko Wanibuchi (鰐淵 洋子, Wanibuchi Yōko, born April 10, 1972) is a Japanese politician of the New Komeito Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature).
Early life
Wanibuchi is a native of Fukuoka, Fukuoka and graduated from Soka Women's College,
Political career
Wanibuchi was elected for the first time in 2004. She has served as a member of the House of Councillors (1st term) and was a State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology under the cabinets of Yoshihide Suga, as well as in the first and second cabinets of Fumio Kishida.
Since October 2024, she has been the Deputy Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.
