Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Misplaced Pages, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Misplaced Pages:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Mr. Stradivarius 15:42, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Jordana Brewster, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Misplaced Pages articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • Cluebot produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Jordana Brewster was changed by 112.198.79.1 (u) (t) making a minor change with obscenities on 2010-03-09T06:41:15+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 06:41, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Misplaced Pages:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article.   — Jeff G. ツ 02:38, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Misplaced Pages again, as you did at Mincemeat, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 17:25, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Consumer protection. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. February 2011

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page List of fraternities and sororities in the Philippines has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Misplaced Pages. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages. I removed the following link(s): http://www.facebook.com/notifications.php#!/. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Misplaced Pages's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 11:48, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did at List of characters in the Planet of the Apes films, you may be blocked from editing. Also, the Planet of the Apes (franchise) (same thing there), and (since I'm now presuming bad faith) Template:Campaignbox Philippines, 1944–45 since I'm not seeing a Bicol campaign anywhere. Please refrain from making test edits in Misplaced Pages pages, such as those you made to English for specific purposes, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Mr. Stradivarius 15:39, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Misplaced Pages, at least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Management has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Fertilisation, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Nadiatalent (talk) 18:55, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Panitan, Capiz, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Also, please refrain from reintroducing the massive list of municipal resolutions. Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia. It is not a directory. Lagrange613 (talk) 04:59, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Panitan, Capiz, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing Misplaced Pages.

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring after a review of the reverts you have made on Panitan, Capiz. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Lagrange613 (talk) 05:38, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

I have left a message at the article's talk page. Please engage there about your edits, or I will seek to protect it. Thank you. Lagrange613 (talk) 08:26, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Another editor (me) has disputed the content you are adding and reverted it. You re-reverted and persisted in your present course without participating at the article's talk page. That constitutes edit warring under any reasonable definition. I will give you one more chance to stop adding unencyclopedic content and discuss on the talk page. Otherwise I will report you for edit warring, which may result in the page becoming protected so that you will be unable to edit it further or in you being blocked from editing entirely.
