Anyways as I have understood and what other sources say is that Sudan is located in North Africa and is considered to be a North African country. Broadly there are five main regions of Africa and they are North Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, West Africa, and Southern Africa. WP:IBAN covers this. Although the interaction-banned users are generally allowed to edit the same pages or discussions so long as they avoid each other, they are not allowed to interact with each other. Topic Ban

@Cookiemonster1618: A very large number of your recent edits seem pretty clearly to be in violation of your topic ban on 'northeastern African peoples and languages, broadly construed'. Some of these violations seem to me unquestionable:

last time I checked these are places and the Chad is in Central Africa I have not edited anything on Nubian languages because there is nothing to edit on here. Instead of tracking what I edit you should at least see if it is in violation of my ban or not. Kanuri is a Language spoken in West Africa not in East or Northeast Africa. Last time I checked the ban only mentioned Northeast and Eastern African languages and Peoples not Western and Central African languages nor place names or towns. Sudan is in North Africa not in East Africa and there is nothing wrong with making edits for the Bederia and Shaigiya tribes because those are peoples that would be considered North African and not Northeast African or East African. Cookiemonster1618 (talk) 20:02, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
There's nothing going on here I have not violated anything from my topic ban. I understand and know well the conditions and implementation and rules of the topic ban. The ban is implemented on me not you so idk why your coming here and trying to find a hard excise to blame on me for violating the terms of my topic ban when I have not. The second list contains a lot of places, but the first is entirely peoples & languages—184 of the total 270. In a great many of these cases, 'language' or 'people' are part of the name of the article. Note that Misplaced Pages has an article on Northeast Africa, which very clearly includes Sudan & Egypt; Chad is iffy (not mentioned in the text, & marked light green in the map). In any case, I have mostly ignored the editing related to Chad, only noting cases where there's explicit spread into Sudan. & even if Sudan were excluded, you have edits that relate to Somalia, Ertirea, & Ethiopia in here. I don't know why you're raising the issue of Nubian, but Dongolawi is a Nubian language. I'm not tracking your edits—if I were, I would have said something weeks ago. I was surprised by one of your edits given the ban, looked at your history, & was surprised again to see how many of those edits seemed to be in violation. Edits that relate to places and locations in Somalia and Eritrea were not part of the Topic ban. Once again i will quote you what the topic ban said. So I just realized wikipedia had a whole article page for the region called Northeast Africa. I have heard of it but i had no idea it was included in Misplaced Pages. But also respectfully I am going to disagree with you here as there is no such thing as a region called Northeast Africa. There's the Horn of Africa but Sudan is not located in the Horn of Africa. Sudan is considered to be a North African country and not an Eastern African country nor is it a country located in the Horn of Africa. Here is the source for my claim. If I did than I am sorry because I edited Tama and Sungor. Also the ban never said for to edit places. Also Ethiopian Refugees is a General word and not a specific name for an ethnic group or language. OK I apologize for my ignorance but I had no idea that Misplaced Pages had an article for a page called Northeast Africa I had heard of the region but I just assumed the name was another name for the Born of Africa countries. Anyways I take full responsibility but many of my edits did not violate the condition and terms of my topic ban and its not right and fair for me to plead to something that was not part of the topic ban. I added the additional roughly 90 edits on locations specifying that they were probably inadvisable given the wording about 'broad construal'. These two groups are marked separately.
