Your Bot mistakenly added Martin Van Creveld to the WikiJudaism project. There is nothing in his Misplaced Pages entry (nor, I believe, in his publications) that relates to the Jewish religion, the topic of the WikiJudaism project. | Your Bot mistakenly added Martin Van Creveld to the WikiJudaism project. - Current project
- WikiProject Judaism
If you have questions regarding a banner for this project that was placed on an article, you may leave a comment here or on the project talk page.
- 1. I assume from that request that the template to use is {{WikiProject Judaism}}
correct
- 2. Are there any sub/super projects related to this one, and if so, are there any banners that, if present, would mean *not* adding yours?
no
- Actually, there are {{WikiProject Kabbalah}}, {{WikiProject Jewish history}}, {{WikiProject Jewish culture}}. The banner should not be added, but probably should not be removed if present. --Eliyak T·C 20:30, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good - I won't remove them. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 21:05, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

- 3. Do you want me to automatically add a Stub, FA, or GA class, or will you want to review them yourselves?
Thanks!
yes for auto

Bot in categories
I am not clear why the bot (or you) is placing itself into categories which are meant for articles, not users or Wikiprojects. What is the reason for it? --Blainster 10:23, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. The listing looked out of place, but I guess if is only there temporarily, and is serving a good purpose, it's not a problem. The drawback is that the category is for relevant articles, and anyone who sees the bot there may be confused by it (like me). Maybe if you renamed your page "temporary project", "current project (temporary)", or something similar, it would help to alert other users or editors that its presence is merely temporary and not a mis-categorization. --Blainster 06:47, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Israeli cities
Why is the bot tagging Israeli cities, villages, songs, settlements, and rivers? --Shuki 19:07, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, Shuki! The bot is working on a list of categories provided to me by WikiProject Judaism. I suggest mentioning to them that at least one of the categories is incorrect - perhaps you could provide them with a couple articles that have been tagged that shouldn't? They have said they'll be reviewing all the articles to make sure they haven't over-bannered. Thanks for your input! And sorry for any inconvenience! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 19:15, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- The bot seems to be guilty of overtagging. For example, since when is Hamas part of project Judaism? Israel, yes, Judaism, no. -- Avi 12:52, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- I see now where the idea was first brought up on the project page. It seems that the work should have been given much more analysis before being carried out after only a couple of days. --Shuki 20:13, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- A few days? The project started talking about having a bot work on 1 August. They contacted me about it on the 10th. I replied that I needed a category list. On the 27th they contacted me with that list. At the time, not being a part of the project, I assumed they had hashed out the category list. Forgive me if I assumed good faith. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 22:28, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Um, please don't get offended, this is a project, but then again we are all individual editors. I don't speak for the project, just my views. I must of missed the first post about this I see now way back on Aug2. I admit that I did not see most of the talk here and did not understand the pervasiveness of the job planned. --Shuki 20:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

tagging
I noticed you are adding all the original categories are you going to add all the original categories and then remove from wikiproject the categories i speicified--Java7837 18:55, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
(I'm new to commenting on Misplaced Pages, please pardon me if I made a mistake):
Your Bot mistakenly added Martin Van Creveld to the WikiJudaism project. There is nothing in his Misplaced Pages entry (nor, I believe, in his publications) that relates to the Jewish religion, the topic of the WikiJudaism project.
