- (Discuss) — Conservation genetics → Genetic conservation — The accurate name of the subject is "genetic conservation" to remain consistent with naming conventions for concise titles. — RW Marloe (talk) 12:47, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Graphene oxide → Graphite oxide — Expert opinion (see above) is that the proper name of the material is "graphite oxide". The move is blocked because of non-trivial edit history in the latter. —Jorge Stolfi (talk) 10:50, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Man and Biosphere Reserve Programme → Man and the Biosphere Programme — According to this, the name is "Man and the Biosphere Programme". What's it doing at the present title?--Kotniski (talk) 09:41, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Indian Institute of Technology Rupnagar → Indian Institute of Technology Ropar — This is the correct name for the Institution as in the official web page that is listed right here; heck, even the logo here shows this name only. —Iitmsriram (talk) 08:39, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Attribution of recent climate change → Anthropogenic climate change — The title is vague. What is meant by recent? A better title would be Anthropogenic climate change with a redir from the commonly used term Anthropogenic global warming. Article titles should be descriptive, reflect common usage and define boundaries of the topic. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 04:28, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Laws of the Game → Laws of association football — There is an article for another sport (rugby league) that titles its rules the Laws of the Game. There are also several other sports and meanings that use "Laws of the Game". I think a disambiguation page is in order. LunarLander // talk // 02:10, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Panda Mazi → Panta Mazi — * Support. According to WP:GREEK guidelines on converting consonant cluster "ντ", it would either be "Panta Mazi" or "Pada Mazi". "Panta Mazi" is the best solution of the two, as it directly translates from Greek. Greekboy (talk) 00:54, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Pholidichthys leucotaenia → Pholidichthys — Should this page be moved to the plain genus name, as there is only one species (monotypy)? Most living monotypic genera not at common names (none exist here) are at the full specie title, and Misplaced Pages:Naming conventions (fauna) still advises this, but genus names seem to be favoured now (see Talk:Caecilita). —innotata (Talk • Contribs) 00:12, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Torcida → Torcida organizada — The term "torcida", in Brazil, is merely the designation of all the fans of any sport club, not only football clubs. The term "torcida organizada" is what this article talks about, the formal associations of fans from a certain football club, like Mancha Verde, Gaviões da Fiel, etc. See, for example, the interwikis of Portuguese Misplaced Pages (the brazilian language) pt:Torcida (in Portugal, is merely known as "claque" or "claque de apoio") and pt:Torcida organizada (known in Portugal as pt:Ultras). - (Discuss) — Brigham Young University – University of Utah rivalry → Utah–BYU rivalry — Koavf changed the name of the article without discussing it — at least I have not seen the relevant discussion. The name has gotten a lot longer. I believe this change is a step backward. Misplaced Pages:Article titles#Common names recommends calling an article by its most common name. Several examples are listed: Bill Clinton not "William Jefferson Clinton" or Hulk Hogan not "Terry Gene Bollea". The article had operated under its old name for nearly four years without confusion or anyone suggesting the name be changed. In my opinion, "Utah—BYU rivalry" is a better name because rarely are the full names of the universities used in the athletics context. Also, most other college atheletic rivalry pages do NOT use the full name of the universities involved: see, e.g., Notre Dame – USC rivalry, Michigan – Ohio State football rivalry, or Florida – Florida State football rivalry. Consequently, I am requesting a revert of the name change. If you disagree, state your reason here and try and build a consensus. (Which is the way the name change should have been done in the first place: see Misplaced Pages:Consensus). And a brief look at Koavf's talk page suggests he has a habit of changing article names without discussion. —Ute in DC (talk) 09:16, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Genesis creation myth → Creation according to Genesis — This is the article's original title. It was changed to its current title after being discussed by only a couple of editors. The old title, unlike the current one, is npov in many people's opinion. It also appears to be the consensus title (See posts above). — 76.253.103.218 (talk) 02:16, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago → Santiago Stock Exchange — I think the commonly used English-language name would be better for English-language Misplaced Pages. See comments in "Article name" section of the talk page. — Relisting Ronhjones 00:45, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — 'S Out → 's Out — Capitalisation. The title is short for "Bottom's Out", so a lower-case "s" makes more sense than upper case. This is consistent with the episode 's Up. Interplanet Janet (talk) 14:31, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Popfax (internet fax service) → Popfax — No apparent reason for the disambiguation since there is no Popfax article (I thought this was uncontroversial but when I went ahead and did it I was reverted). —Cassandra 73 (talk) 12:26, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Mario → Mario (character) — While the most famous video game character, I don't see why Mario should be in the main namespace rather than Mario (disambiguation). Link from the Legend of Zelda isn't located at the Link article, so why is Mario at the Mario article? What happens when a person named Mario looks up their name, only to find that the most famous example is a cartoon plumber and not the other major historical "Marios"?—ZXCVBNM (TALK) 06:24, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — A*Teens → A-Teens — Per MOS:TM, article titles should "avoid using special characters that are not pronounced, are included purely for decoration, or simply substitute for English words." The asterisk in this group name is used solely for decoration. The official website title uses a hyphen, as well as Allmusic. Note that the articles of other groups that use asterisks to stylize the group name, like N*E*R*D and *NSYNC, are not stylized as such (N.E.R.D and 'N Sync). — ξ 04:09, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Great Britain at the Olympics → Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Olympics — The name of the team has been confirmed by the reference given in the article. The article was renamed and without discussion from 'Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Summer Olympics' to 'Great Britain at the Olympics' under the false guise of WP:OLY, which justified only renaming the article to 'Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Olympics'. Hence, it should be renamed to 'Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Olympics'. Bastin 04:36, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Blind mole rat → Spalax — The common name "blind mole rat" is ambiguous, so this page should be at the scientific name. Blind mole rat sometimes refers particularly to one species, S. ehrenbergii, and "fossorial mole rat" and "subterranean mole rat" also seem to be in use for this genus. (And, on a footnote, none of these are good descriptive terms.) Spalax (record company) is not very important: it is a small specialist recording company wheras these rodents are as common and visible as rabbits in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The record company page has been viewed 63 times (partly myself and others discussing these rodents) against 597 for this page (This is in February 2010). —innotata (Talk • Contribs) 23:56, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — For You (Ricky Nelson song) → For You (1933 song) — Songs are typically disambiguated either by original performer (for more recent songs) or by original year of publication (for older ones). - (Discuss) — Snowmageddon → ? — I'm completely open to suggestions on this, but we should come up with a more generic name for this article. The article itself is about at least both "snowmageddon" and "snowpocalypse" right now, but there's also "snOMG" and "kaizersnowze" (which I've just added as similar terms in use). "snowmageddon", at least, has prior usage, and the article includes a description of that. I'm fairly sure that "snowpocalypse" has prior usage as well, but the Post has definitely popularized that in the last few days. "snOMG" and "kaizersnowze" are really more neologisms which recently came into use due to the Washington Post poll on "the term they should use", which is referenced in the article as well. Anyway, I'm all ears for suggestions here.

- (Discuss) — ABSA Park → Hoffe Park Stadium — This stadium is no longer called ABSA Park, as the sponsership from ABSA has ended. It is currently called GWK Park, also for sponsership reasons. I propose that the article be moved to 'Hoffe Park Stadium', as that is the stadiums 'non-sponspered' name. This is because sponserships often change, and stadium articles should be listed at their common names. I would include the fact that GWK is a title sponser in the article though.I will wait 7 days before moving the page, any support or objections should be logged here. - (Discuss) — Kraków → Krakow — Disagreement on the talk page over whether to name the page Kraków or Cracow or Krakow without the accent mark. - (Discuss) — Diadem → Diadem (disambiguation) — to allow Diadem (personal wear) to take the plain name, with of course an "other uses" hatnote to here. As shown by "what links here", this is by far the dominant usage of the plain name, from which all other senses are derived. None of these are really common, and nearly all have a disambiguating term in their names already. Johnbod (talk) 17:35, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Miracles attributed to Jesus → Miracles of Jesus — The title of this article should be consistent with other articles about miracles by person, such as Miracles of Muhammad and Miracles of Gautama Buddha.
