Jammu Tawi (JAT) is a Railway station in Jammu, in India. It is very well connected with the major cities of India such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Tirunelveli, Pune, Ahemedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Patna, Lucknow, Varanasi, Vadodara, Gorakhpur, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Guwahati by rail.

The longest running train in India Himsagar Express that goes till Kanya Kumari, Tamil Nadu in 70 hours, originates from here.

Old Jammu Station

Before the building of Jammu Tawi station, there was a station which had train services to Sialkot Junction before partition. The 27 mile Jammu-Sialkot line has not been revived because of the Kashmir dispute. In 2000 to the consternation of many the railway station was demolished to make way for an art centre.
