Sadeq Sharafkandi
Hello!!
One question, why did you delete the Sharafkandi article?
- Hi! I deleted the article because most of the content was copied from here, which says at the bottom, "www.pdk-iran.org©PDKI All Rights Reserved." I had to delete the article because it was a possible copyright violation.
- Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
- If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Misplaced Pages to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
- You might want to look at Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Khoikhoi 01:07, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi!!
oki, thanks
on a deleting spree?
I just noticed that you went out of your way to remove most of the links to eecities.com that I added - I believe eecities.com to be a very informative site which provides concrete info... and the links were placed on RELEVANT wikipedia entries (EU Expansion, etc) which begs the question: what IS your problem? Oh, and the little cut and paste blurb you gave as an explanation is not good enough - I don't think it provides relevant arguments in this case...
- Hi. While you are encouraged to contribute to Misplaced Pages, adding links to your website is not allowed. The reason is because that's not how Misplaced Pages grows, it grows when content (rather than external links) is added to articles. Secondly, we don't want Misplaced Pages to turn into some directory external links, Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia. Therefore, if you see any spam-like links, please be bold and remove them. Regards, Khoikhoi 21:14, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey. You seem to have forgotten the second part of the equation: …but don't be reckless. Anyway, that's the problem with Misplaced Pages - some links are tolerated and others aren't even if they provide a useful service. Too arbitrary for me, sorry.
is a mistake mixing maps in european countries
hello khoikhoi I thanked you that do not change maps of different types if want can put the green maps or the other maps Greetings.--Hjncfkdnmhbjk 00:11, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
about the maps
Hello khoikhoi y said that if the green maps do not you like can change them, but the problem is that the maps cannot be mixed because all the maps of the wikipedia are of gray color marked of green, what you can cause is to change all the maps of all the countries.--Hjncfkdnmhbjk 00:35, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello! Thanks for sending me a message. I still don't know much about how all this works. But I wanted to ask for help :) I Am from Iranian Azerbaijan and I saw a lot of rubbish regarding the article about "Iranian Azerbaijan" and I edited some. There are some rubbish left that also have some references, but the references are even more rubbish, they actually take you nowhere but the person has made some incredible and childish claims. How can Idelete references???
- Thanks for writing me again! I'll keep that in mind. The reason I got involved was that I saw huge inaccuracies, some which I edited. But there is so much chaos. For example I edited the word "Turkmen" to "Azeri" regarding the Safavid and the Qajar, and there are some people (two preomeninetly Tajik and Azerbaijani) who seem to have nothing to do but distort facts about Azerbaijanis. It made me even wonder that because this site is so big there may be even agents of the Islamic Regime hired to polute and undermine the articles that the Islamic regime of Iran may feel threaten its integrity or something like that!!! Maybe this is absurd but who knows!
- The reference I told you about... just look at this absolutely incredible statement on the article about Iranian Azerbaijan:
- "A recent study of the genetic landscape of Iran was completed by a team of Cambridge geneticists led by Dr. Maziar Ashrafian Bonab (an Iranian Azerbaijani). Bonab remarked that his group had done extensive DNA testing on different language groups, including Indo-European and non Indo-European speakers, in Iran. The study found that the Azerbaijanis of Iran do not have a similar FSt and other genetic markers found in Anatolian and European Turks. However, the genetic Fst and other genetic traits like MRca and mtDNA of Iranian Azeris were identical to Persians in Iran."
- refrence number 7 doe not take anywhere! And the last sentence is just hillarious. That has nothing to do with fact or science. Read this: "The study found that the Azerbaijanis of Iran do not have a similar FSt and other genetic markers found in Anatolian and European Turks. However, the genetic Fst and other genetic traits like MRca and mtDNA of Iranian Azeris were identical to Persians in Iran." This is clearly rubbish because it has nothing to do with those references and it looks like Nazi-style scientific speaking to me, the difference is that Nazis didn't go around telling everyone they were Aryans too. These people are making everybody Aryans, by force, and Nazis exterminated non-Aryans!!Bm79 07:56, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Khoikhoi, this person is a pan Turkist. You can tell by the way he just ignores evidents and calls them "fake"... Its ridiculous really. Just look at he says about the genetic data and other sources. Please warn him not to make POV changes. He doesnt seem to understand that he cannot just claim something he doesnt like is incorrect and then try to change it. By the way Bm79, the Nazi's werent Aryans, they thought they were, so that alone contradicts everything you said, because Nazi's didnt base anything on fact!Azerbaijani 04:08, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I am pan-Turkist? Is this a "personal" attack? All my family and everybody where I lived call each other "Turk", should I deny or ignore it? khoikhoi, I wish to paste this from the article "Azarbaijan has an area of 176,512 square kilometers and a population of about 10 million (estimates vary). Azeris make up the majority of the population in the Iranian region of Azarbaijan. Azarbaijan is famous for its great natural beauty. There are 17 rivers and two lakes in the region. Cotton, nuts, textiles, tea, machinery and electrical equpiments are main industries. The northern, alpine region, which includes Lake Urmia, is mountainous, with deep valleys and fertile lowlands." Is thisa serious article? It gives Iranian Azerbaijan a specific size??? It gives it a specific population??? let's go and give Turkish Kurdistan a specific size and population then. The article says that Azerbaijan is famous for its natural beauty???? I have never heard anybody saying that "that country is famous for its natural uglyness" HAHAHA, you get what I mean? Later in the article it says that Azerbaijanis are "identical" to Persians genetically. Is this a serious article??? Maybe this guy (kid, teenager, or something) wrote it, but I wished to make it less POV (he has just learnt POV and writing it everywhere) and I haven't been able to. How can I do so that my homeland is not made fun in an article??? There must be a way, because as I can see one-two or thre people can hijack things as they wish on this website. If it is really possible, then I must think about forgetting and retreating. I also wrote some stuff below! Thanks :) Bm79 04:47, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Dear khoikhoi, I started to learna bit about how wikipedia works and it's quite strange, and I have just decided that I will not involve in this anymore. There are users that insult other users who do not agree with them, specifically say they are either writing POV, or vandalising, or that they are pan-Turkist, or that they create other account. The member Azerbaijani has accused so many users of these things on a daily basis. I don't really care, but if this website is supposed to create quality work then this is not the way to do it. I wanted to do edits, but now I am never going to edit anything because some kids are going to accuse and insult me all the time. I don't know much about other articles but as far as I got to know, the articles I wasn interested about, are made a mockery of by few individuals (and from the time they spend on their ideas on the Internet it is obvious they are youngsters). Just a thought! And I think I will receive more insults because of just having said this. Good day Bm79 17:12, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear khoikhoi, you haven't written me. I thought of giving up and forgetting about this website but I couldn't. Do you agree to be intimidated and leave unsourced and inaccurate data becasue there are (essentially one user who continuously insults and intimidates Azerbaijanis, and has paradoxically chosen the name "Azerbaijani' probably for the same reason, so he could be authoritative)? You told me to bring proof otherwise. Let me go through this again :) The article about "Iranian Azerbaijan" says that the area has a specific size. I wanted to change it but I confronted being called "vandaliser", "POV", "pan-Turkist" and so on. I saw that the user Azerbaijani has been doing the same thing to other Azerbaijanis as well (the republic or Iran). Could anyone bring up any reliable source to prove that Iranian Azerbaijan is anything but an "approximate" area, exacly like Turkish Kurdistan??? No. Iranian Azerbaijan has no boundaries and no one can measure it. What about the population 10 million!? Those three provinces that are mentioned have even less population. And other parts of the article say that Azerbaijan is rich, beautiful and so on. I tried to change them but I was again named names. How can we deal with such a person who is intolerant and abusive?! You saw the sources given. They are sources from Persian Nationalists and extremely unreliable. I wrote a few sentences the other time from the sources and they were just a couple of articles from two people. Is it OK for me to give sources from Azerbaijani nationalists to confront those sources? That would be wrong because this is an informative website, not a political arena. Pleaselooking forward for your reply. Thanks!Bm79 03:49, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Another remark left by the member "Azerbaijani" about the Qajar, I copy-paste: "They did not descend from Ohguz Turks, however, they did speak a language of Oghuz origin. To say that they are of Oghuz origin is wrong, because, and this is the most obvious reason, they werent Mongoloid!Azerbaijani 21:23, 31 December 2006 (UTC)" Why is this member tolerated? Whenever I see the name os this member it is like a nightmare, because if I touch whatever he has done they will be reversed immediately and I will be insulted and intimidated again. He has put "linguistic" in front of origin so that he makes his point clear that they were not Mongoloids! They were Persians who just spoke Turkic becasue... just because, just like the Safavid and anybody else who is an Azerbaijani. Why is this person allowed to mock us like this? Bm79 04:22, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! Dear khoikhoi, please look at the ORIGINAL text I have written in the tak section oif Azerbaijan (Iran) and you will see that the original text has been altered, adding and removing parts. Please take a look, all I did was to put the original text. Here is the link to look at the original text from Columbia Encyclopedia, which is not Iranian and not Azerbaijani, and is an independent Western reliable source, unlike some of other sources. The article had been copy-pasted from the same place, though altered. http://www.reference.com/search?q=azerbaijn
That page's source is Columbia Encyclopedia, which has been illegitimately altered by some to look like something else. Bm79 12:49, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
khoikhoi, thank you for your attention! I am new and unfortunately I did not quite understand what was going on. Obviously some person, either the person who had originally written the article or the person who had added THOSE parts was doing something illegal, which is, as you know, to take a text from a source and either not mention it or alter the source so that it intentioanlly looks different.
Please also look at the article "Azerbaijan" which has some terribly biased things written there. Here is what I saw which is really BIASED, obviously written with a clear intention that Azerbaijan is not the name of the republic of Azerbaijan and the sources are 1) a letter from an Armenian to the US (are they kidding us???!!!) and two others from a book by an Iranian and an ARTICLE by another Iranian. Please look at the sources. If the sources are not reliable then the writing must not be like THIS:
With the collapse of Tsarist Russia in 1917, the Musavat ("Equality") Turkic Federalist Party, which had pan Turkic elements within it, met in Tbilisi on May 27, 1918 to create their own state, which they named Azerbaijan. According to some sources, the name Azerbaijan was adopted in order to claim north western Iran. The Bolsheviks re-conquered the Caucasus and kept the name Azerbaijan, in hopes of later adding north western Iran into the Soviet Union. Mohammad Amin Rasulzade, the leader of Musavat party, later admitted a mistake in choosing the name Azerbaijan for the state, saying that Albania (referring to Caucasian Azerbaijan) was different than Azerbaijan (referring to Iranian Azerbaijan). Rasulzade Also declared his eagerness to do "whatever is in his power to avoid any further discontent among Iranians". Bm79 04:48, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear khoikhoi, are you here? I would like to have a chat :) Or some other admin if possible. Please contact me! Thanks! Bm79 03:02, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear khoikhoi, I am not very familiar with this site yet but from the articles I have found out about one thing has been made so clear to me. There are certain inviduals. It doesn't need to me more than 5, and they could all be one person on the Internet but from differing attitudes I think they are more than JUST 1. These members are absolutely intent on mocking everything related to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis. Remeber the article about Iranian Azerbaijan? THe user "Azerbaijani" who used to delete everything I had edited, after the admins erased the copyright-violation parts, disappeared for a couple of days, during which was busy mocking other Azerbaijani related articles came back and reverted everything to what it was before. I really think admins should take necessary measures to stop this. These members are continuously mocking, intimidating, insulting and personally attacking the Azerbaijanis. They make essays about how Azerbaijan is dubious as a country and how Azerbaijanis are dubious, impure and so and so as a people. Their essays have made through to become articles. Azerbaijani personalities are made either Turkem, either Persian or they have been made otherwise. And above all they have continuously written absolutely pure essays about Azerbaijan and through intimidations and continuous edits their versions seem to be the articles. All I am asking is for some admins to take a look at these and either block them, or erase them or something. Why should articles (about Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis) instead of focusing on Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis focus on how Azerbaijanis and their leaders are actually NOT what they seem to be and how they have done this and that, according to persian and Armenian sources!!!! Interesting that Iran and Armenia are such close friends! Maybe terrorism is their common aim, which is clearly shown here on the Internet! Bm79 21:30, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Khoikhoi. I noticed you reverted this guy. He could probably do with chilling out for an hour or two. Would you be willing to block him and give him a break? Reverse Gear 05:22, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for that. Just a silly kid but annoying for the guys who keep having to revert his edits. Reverse Gear 05:42, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I did know and I wasn't aware I hadn't somewhere. Thanks for the reminder though. Reverse Gear 13:14, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
I don't know why it's doing that! I thought I should be red. I should probably put something on my userpage and see whether that works. Reverse Gear 13:28, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Okay, thanks, I fixed it. Reverse Gear 13:46, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

This page is again "protected" with Indian propaganda. We have been trying remove controversal Indian perspecive from these Pakistani pages. You have "protetedt" the page with Indian propaganda. The Pakistani contributors have so far refrained from History of India. But the Indian have been virulenty changing text on Pakistani pages with thier propaganda. It would request you to consider your decision. I would prefer it to be protected with Pakistani version of our history. Siddiqui 03:56, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

why did you revert the changes in azerbaijani language, can you proof which state of armenia governed those regions so that we mention the former armenian state while not mentioning other cultures. Canerguclu 03:50 12 Jan 2007

dear khoikhoi I am new in wikipedia and I updated a very poor article about Rasulzade and you can go and check my user name is Elsanaturk. but a user called Azerbaijani three times hindered me to put new material and after that h took my material spoiled it and put it and after that reported me on 3rrrd or something but when I was blocked he returned and edited that page 'four' times and deleted my cited sentence. isn't it a vandalism?217.64.23.1 05:32, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- I understand your concern. In fact, Azerbaijani is blocked too. It cannot be called vandalism, this is actually a dispute over content. However, what I reccomend you do (after your block expires) is that you leave a comment on the talk page saying what you want to add, and then try to come to a compromise (follow the dispute resolution process). Also, perhaps you could try providing third-party sources rather than Azeri ones. Azeri sources are fine, it's just that we'd have to state "according to Azeri sources" in the sentence. You can also try talking to Grandmaster, who is also from Azerbaijan. Perhaps he can help you resolve this conflict with User:Azerbaijani. Regards, Khoikhoi 05:44, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

about Azeri Lang
hi, i only think that mentioning Armenia is really unnecessary that is what i had told earlier. other way, i did not revert them referring the turco-armenian 100-year-old conflicts. i claim that those places was only for a short term ,including the last era of the ottoman empire, "geographically" called Armenia. to mention armenia will make us to mention the old kartli-kakheti (georgian empire), or many others which participate in the history of this highly populated multi-ethnic area. I had not intented to delete an ARMENIAN fact because of a conflict of my home country and Armenia. yes i am turkish but not a racist or hostile against armenians, furthermore i really have good feelings for them. please tell me a reason to choose only Armenia to mention other than the numerous ancient cultures or turkish-islamic existance. thank you --Canerguclu 23:05, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
yeah i now see that the terms "formerly" are removed finally.. then that is now ok. really am i sorry that i wrote the message just as an answer before checking the last changes--Canerguclu 23:14, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Khoi. Tell me, what are you doing? Don't you think that blocking even my own talk page (without a bit of explanation) is a bit exagerated? And what do you think yo will achive like that? If I werer a "vandal" or "troll" this would'n stop me at all. But I'm not. You say that some checkuser say that I'm this Afrika. Well I'm not and I would like to see the result of that investigation. I think, since I've been falsly accused I'm at least entitled to that. Maybe I can help clarify a thing or two. This way you only stop me from doing any constructive work on the Wiki, and a chance for the fer discussion. That's not the way to do things. Please, deblock my main IP so I can register there. Best regards.
83.131.49.21 10:59, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
PS I saw your post to
Pax. Don't worry you're not blocking the bank, just my access to the Wiki from my fixed IP. From home, as you can see, I can always do it via this dynamic IP. BTW, why do you call these dynamic (changing) IP's sock puppets if the definition of the sock puppet is the alias user. That's ridiculous, cause I get assigned a different IP each time I connect from home.
83.131.49.21 11:10, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- The Bank might probably be Afrika paprika's workplace, or his parents' (maybe they leave him with the computer while they work or similar..) or relatives' workplace, or he just goes there often there. Ceyockey added it in the first place. He skims across IPs that have been trolling and/or vandalizing or conducting similar disruptions and adds data that can be informative (which Afrika paprika removed covertly for 7 times from one of his IPs) and conclusive for the problem (in the near future or so). --PaxEquilibrium 14:46, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- : If you really want an investigation again, it is my Wikipedian duty to humor you. I'll create a page of should we say.. around a 100kb dedicated to your/Afrika paprika's case. But you have to guarantee that you won't again return denying and asking for the very same explanation to be repeated again over and over again. I've lost at least 50 hours for typing explanations to your case alone! --PaxEquilibrium 14:52, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Regarding Narek and the images
As you know I tried to talk to you I didnt know you had this page to message you. You protected those 2 images on my User:Ararat_arev page. If you notice this image http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg that Nareklm uploaded from the same site "armenianhighland.com" in his source ? The tag also is the same exact tag I put and the source. Yet he keepts his and mine gets to be removed by him and "no source" tag? And you protected the image page??? Why? Please explain your actions here. He has uploaded an image from the same site armenianhighland.com as I did with the other pictures. I have the same source and tag on them as http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg this from Nareklm uploaded from same site man. Do you understand please correct this mistake whether im banned or not. Thank you. Cant you see his spending his time doing this foolish things??? When he has the same http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg source and tag ??? Ararat _Arev
Please take a look at the site armenianhighland.com where the link is provided to see for yourself these images are on that site. His link http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg doesnt even point to that page either.
- Ararat, you must understand that when you are blocked, you cannot try to circumvent it. Now your main account is blocked for 3 weeks. I will lower it 1 week, but only if you promise sit your block out from now on. You can deal with the images and articles one you are unblocked. Understood? Khoikhoi 05:4
2, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
I understand, but do you understand he is personally removing my images, yet they are the same approval as his?? Can you atleast yourself correct this personal issues he has ?
Can you yourself do this then? Can you correct his mistakes when he has the same source Source: http://www.armenianhighland.com/tigranthegreat/chronicle506.html (disable javascript to view)
I promise you I wont touch it, I will just let you know what he is doing here, if he repeats these things
Im telling you Khoikhoi. If you do this he wont bother me anymore. If you let me to do it after block? He will continue doing this stuff agaisnst me
- First off, they are not *your* images (unless you took them yourself or are the copyright holder). See WP:OWN for more information. I think it's best that you take some time off Misplaced Pages while you are blocked, as every time you come back, you start to get stressed out about things like these, try to edit, and then I just extend your block further. Khoikhoi 05:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Why arent you getting this man? I told you the guy is personally having something against me. Otherwise I kinow you see his image that he uploaded from ArmenianHighland.com not *his" images. Yet he keeps his and not mine??>?>>
There is many things he has been doing like this. This isnt the first time.
You should've blocked him also. In fact he should be blocked by now for doing that
- Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg appears to be public domain. As for the others, Image:Hurrian-AncientArmenian.jpg, and Image:Nkar3.jpg, it's not as easy to confirm. Where did armenianhighland.com get the images from? Do they give permission to use them on Misplaced Pages? How old are they? These are several questions one must ask when uploading images. Khoikhoi 05:54, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
I told you look in the edit history. He removed the source and tag which was the same as the Tigran one. Its all from http://www.armenianhighland.com man . I even told him about that site man
Dont yuou see in the edit history of those images, I put the same tag and source as the Tigran image, to show that its the same source and tag
Go look in the site to find the images if you have to. His Tigran image is there, so is my images
Look http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Image:Nkar3.jpg&diff=102370532&oldid=102370412
- Can't you deal with this all after you're unblocked? Khoikhoi 06:00, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
No please do this. If you do it he wont bother me. If i do it >?>
Besides he's trying to have a fight with me, and I dont want that
Even when I get unblocked, he's going to continue this. He shouldnt even be doing this in the first place, whether Im blocked or not
Look at this image for example he didnt even touch, doesnt even have anytnhing there no source no tag nothing, http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Horizon1.jpg You see his is picking specific images to remove
- If he bothers you, there are ways to deal with this through the proper channels, such as WP:DR, WP:RFC, WP:AN, and WP:AN/I. You can also ask the 1000 other admins we have here for advice. Khoikhoi 06:16, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Since you are available why arent you correting these "mistakes" and yes they are "mistakes". Just picture it as any user. You seem to be excluded this guy lke special case or something
You are suppose to "act" on these situations. He is having "fun" removing images, when they are not suppose to be removed. He is having "fun" the wrong way
Sometimes I am amazed that you support this
- Maybe you could explain to me or another admin what the correct copyright status of the images are? Khoikhoi 06:26, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
For which ones? His uploaded Tigran also? and mine ? I told they are both from the same place. I showed him http://www.armenianhighland.com and he took the image from their , and mine are from their also. I gave you the edit history didnt you see it?
You noticed he kept the Haldi.jpg back how it is? http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Haldi.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Image:Hurrian-AncientArmenian.jpg&diff=102369913&oldid=102369758 Because he is specificly wants to remove these images
- I'm starting to get more and more confused here. What exactly do you want? I can't unprotect the images until your block expires, so do you want me to add some copyright tag to them? If so, which one? Khoikhoi 06:33, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

What happened?? I dont see the corrections?
- I've left a note on Jkelly's talk page. Khoikhoi 07:20, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for doing that but, Jkelly is not here for atleast a month. I have left many notes on his page and there has not been responses. He has not been replying to anyone I noticed. Please correct this problem.
Just read what you wrote earlier. You said "do you want me to put the right copyright tag?" Yes put the tag that was there which Narek reverted, and he has the same in Tigran's image from the same source armenianhighland.com. Also, with Haldi.jpg he reverted but this time he left it. 75.4.217.52 07:26, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- According to Special:Contributions/Jkelly, he still appears to be around. I don't know enough about copyright as he does, so I'd prefer it if I can get an opinion from him before I make any changes. Khoikhoi 07:27, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Khoi you basically think Im lying. Im showing you all the links here to check. All you have to do is check them. All these images are from the same site ok? Can you please correct them already
These images have been on my page since I started using this site. They were never removed!
And Jkelly had already seen all my images in the beginning. He didnt remove them
Khoi here is whats going on. Nareklm removed the "sources" ok? That is why he puts that "no source" tag in order to say there is no source so go and delete it. You see ?? Please put the sources back ok??? Its the ones I gave you here already man from armenainhghland.com Source: http://www.armenianhighland.com/yerevan/chronicle202.html (disable javascript to view)

Khoi, Narek is playing a game here dont you see?? Please dont play that game with me either! You are a nice guy so far Ive known you! Please fix this foolish issues. He removes the "Sources" I put. Same sources he put from same site !
- There's been a lot of fuss about this user's uploads on my talk page. I've seriously got about half an archive's worth of text. Nevertheless, the entire story is that we received an email from whatever website they came from at permissions saying that Misplaced Pages could use the images, we responded asking for a specific license, and, as far as I know, never got a response. The cuneiform image is probably {{PD-ineligible}} (but if we want it, we should probably create our own, cleaned-up, version of the script). I have no idea what this other thing might be. In both cases, Misplaced Pages is not the copyright holder, so that license template needs to be changed. Jkelly 18:02, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Can you atleast add back the sources that Nareklm had removed? Nareklm has images uploaded from the same site armenianhighland.com with sources but yet his didnt get removed with "no source" tags
Jkelly the Armenian dance photos have nothing to do with these images from armenianhighland.com. User:Nareklm is using the same site for "source" , yet he purposely removed my same source (same site armenainhighland.com images) with "no source" so you can remove it. Please check this http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg ,this is the same site armenainhighland.com source. Yet he removed my images from the "same site" "same source" Ararat_arev
The source I also had put in "File History" please check at the bottom of the images
Safavi pages
Dear Khoikhoi, User Azerbaijani provides several references, which do not have valid quotes, i.e. quote stating that Sheikh Safi's mother tongue was Tati, actually refers to Tati language not to the fact that it was "Sheikh Safi's mother tongue".
http://en.wikipedia.org/Safavid_dynasty http://en.wikipedia.org/Safi_Al-Din
I keep removing this claim, and Azerbaijani keeps adding it back. Now I just added "citation needed" quotes. Please, take a note of the issue, if Azerbaijani cannot provide a valid quote within a week, the claim should not be there. Thanks.Atabek 07:12, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- You are correct; the source does not mention Safi Al-Din. It is better to provide an explanation in an edit summary for these things. You are also correct that unsourced claims should be removed (see this email by Jimbo). However, let's see if sources can be provided first. You might consider making a comment at Talk:Safavid dynasty and Talk:Safi Al-Din. Regards, Khoikhoi 07:20, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- I did not put those in that article! Also, it was I who told him to put citation tags on things he disputed! This is ridiculous! Khoikhoi, please do a check user on this person, he seems very familiar! Regarding the content of the page Safi Al-Din, Khoikhoi please see the extensive discussion on the talk page regarding the content, several users were involved in a long discussion and seemingly came to a conclusion: Taking a quick look through, I noticed that the Encyclopedia of Islam and Iranica were both brought up as sources regarding Safi Al-Din's background and language, so I guess, since they had that long discussion on the talk page, thatt hey forgot or thought it unecessary to site their sources. Anyway, it is well known that Safi Al-Din was indeed Iranian or more specifically atleast half Persian, and that his poems were in the old language of Tati, so I dont know why Atabek feels the need to dispute this. Also Khoikhoi, could you please tell User Grandmaster that he cannot dictate to everyone what is and what is not a reliable source, and please tell him that he cannot base his claims on his POV without bring up evidence. He continually removes and criticizes sources he does not like without evidence, as he did on the History of the name Azerbaijan page. Interestingly, on the very Safi Al-Din talk page, Grandmaster criticises Encyclopaedia Iranica, yet since then I have seen him use Iranica as a source! He is obviously, and I mean no offense by this, just from my observation, a POV pusher. He criticizes what he doesnt like and tries his best to remove it, and then goes to another page and uses the same sources he criticized to contribute to his defense...I dont know what to do anymore. He has even gone as far as criticizing two well known historians in the field of Iranian history, one of which is Dr. Kaveh Farrokh who is half Azeri himself! Since you are an admin, I feel as though coming to you is my best option, since confronting him about these issues could be considered a personal attack.Azerbaijani 20:40, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Population numbers @ Persian Page
Hi,
Please take a look at the population table of Persian people where the upperbound is 54 million. If we add up the numbers given in table as given, we arrive at 37-43 million range. I left a note on the talk page a few weeks ago, but unfortunately it was largely ignored (except for an irrelevant response that did not address the simple mistake in the arithmetics). Thanks.Heja Helweda 03:41, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I took look
- Sorry wrong place. :) you can move it. I'll assume good faith as you suggested.(erased previous message). --alidoostzadeh 03:57, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
March Days
Dear Khoikhoi. I have added material directly related to the historical events, and every single sentence of it is reference. I haven't removed a single sentence from previous version, just moved and added sections of material. Yet User:Nareklm vandalized the site and removed hours of my work, and reverted back to old 5-line version without any valuable explanation. Please, protect this page at its current version, or if it's changed again protect it at version: http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=March_Days&oldid=103363190 . Otherwise, this kind of behavior discourages any kind of contribution to Misplaced Pages. Kinds thanks. Tengri 17:20, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
